Further, the Kona Electric and Nexo Fuel Cell models stand out above the rest with state-of-the-art technology and features, which we explore below.
IONIQ 5
This all-electric vehicle has a 488 km driving range and a 5.1 second 0-100 km/h acceleration. It boasts a 77.4 kWh battery and has ultra-fast charging capability. Using a 350 kW DC ultra-rapid charger, the vehicle charges within 18 minutes from 10% to 80%. Even better, a five-minute charge can give you up to 100 km on the road.
IONIQ 6
The IONIQ 6 delivers a sleek appearance, but its futuristic design isn’t its only exceptional feature. Thanks to its aerodynamic design, it also boasts a driving range of up to 581 km. It provides a luxury interior with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and same-sized infotainment touchscreen. It features the same high-speed charging capability as the IONIQ 5, and its Battery Temperature Management System is ideal for Canadian winters.
Kona Electric
While the Kona Electric model has a lower driving range of 420 km, it’s still impressive for an SUV. It features aerodynamic lines, sports a stylish exterior, and has an available head-up display for the interior. It boasts a 64.8 kWh high-voltage battery and a 150 kW electric motor. Further, it charges from 10% to 80% in just 45 minutes using the standard level 3 400 V charging.
Nexo
The Nexo is the first of its kind, with Hyundai debuting an all-new hydrogen Fuel Cell EV to the Canadian public. It can drive for 612 km, emits zero noxious gasses and CO2, and only takes five minutes to charge! There’s no noise pollution with its quiet operation, and it presents the ultimate elegant SUV design.
